Great ideas! Maybe we should just make coke an anti-diarrhetic altogether -- then people wouldn't drink it so much anyways :)

I submitted one that is creating a social networking site that can turn commercial projects into volunteer work, to fund small grants. We have a problem in our volunteer system in that it cannot be applied for everything. Another thing we're missing in this world is a grass roots effort to fund sustainability causes or any causes really ... and securing funding for it is pretty difficult since we're waiting for the government or large organizations to fund them. This sort of site will allow anyone to turn anything into a grant, and us to get a grant for small things like -- water saving showerheads, solar panels on rooftops, etc etc.

I have submitted a very simple idea of how to help the other 5 billion people unreached. Those that the digital worlds have failed to reach using current technology simply because the world is using the rich men's tools to try to reach the poor men.

We use a poor men's tool to reach the poor men plus the rich men too. With this we hope to close the digital divides of the poor and the rich.

By going paperless in classrooms would also help untold millions by being more green saving not only mankind but the animals, insects, rivers etc because saving trees you save all those and more.

It seems that society is now searching for new ideas, because the old way is not working.Everyone is surfing the net.A virtual place to communicate Kabbalistic concepts will be a natural magnet for searchers.Natural gravitation towards it will occur because Kabbalah provides natures answer for todays problems. The time is right.

Great ideas!

I was going to say what this blog needs is an intention. What are we trying to achieve together with comments on this blog. But then I thought - how about a global intention on Google before the announcement of the winners. For the whole world to stop and think about what Google is trying to achive. The goal of bestowal.

What’s good?
The starting point of my question is….
How do we achieve no war, no hunger, no jelousy, and
no competition in the world today?
And how do we achieve all goodness everywhere?
The answer, maybe, a solution for the Google 10/100 Idea
for the Kabbalah project.

Philanthropic marketing is a great way to create interest in an "oversold" society. Google is just another company that sees the promotional value of "saving the whales", "feeding the hungry", blah, blah, blah...

The premise is wrong. The questions they use to categorize the solution are all the same, and misdirected. How many choices of suv's, food programs, abundant whatever do we really need? They don't have one category that leads to anything different than a million others have tried, and all that is accomplished is a more expansive desire for people to please themselves.

If they really want to help, I suggest they keep the money. They should use it fund the salaries of the team that came up with this promotion. Meanwhile, this same team, should really brainstorm on the value of Google promoting a legitimate cause. Instead of focusing the people's energy on flawed questions in man made categories, let's do something that will have a lasting effect. Let's figure out why we are here in the first place. If the Google team can't figure it out, have them talk to Kabbalist Michael Laitman.

So, my suggestion would be to take the 10million and fund a promotional effort (at cost) using Google Ad Words. The headline would read something like "Why are YOU here?" and the copy would have a link to THE ANSWER. This would definitely help every category and even, every thing proposed in the "Everything else" category. All other solutions are milt and fodder.

One idea would be to limit gas profits to 10% , tax the gas 20% then use the money to fund social programs.

Hi folks;

I submitted a proposal for Project Ingenesist. This is a new financial system where money is pegged to innovation – not gold, silver, or debt (like the current fianancial crisis).

It's a system and method for making knowledge tangible in Social Networks and outside the construct of corporations, banks, government – the ones that got us into trouble in the first place.

Everyone benefits because we'll be released from the shackles of debt economics. It's cool and I am hoping that people here would review it at:

www.ingenesist.com (see 10^100 page)

If I am right about this, when the dollar crashes - and it will, people will begin trading Rollads (spelled backwards) in the innovation economy.

The nutshell's been cracked: Inside, there's this super-cool-phantasmagorical-perfectly-perfect-ultra-dynamic-sub atomic- particle of "Love and Unity" Its abilities are unbounded.

We see it here and everywhere.

As Joseph Harrington stated:

The Breakthrough Imperative (Human Engagement) must be Simple, Succinct, Poetic, and Empowering.
Simplicity Gets Results!
I think it's clear that when we peel back the layers of all coomplex problems, we can see the simple definitive problem is egoism; therefore the simple definitive action for a solution is bestowal and that begins with the individual and ends with the world thought collectively.

I am not sure we can submit anything that would pass the submission criteria of the contest:
Criteria:
1. Reach: How many people would this idea affect? - Undefined. Everyone according to Baal HaSulam
2. Depth: How deeply are people impacted? How urgent is the need? - The depth is ultimate but the urgency is yet to materialize (even given the current finnacial crisis)
3. Attainability: Can this idea be implemented within a year or two? - not with a 10mln dollar investment and undeveloped execution strategy
4. Efficiency: How simple and cost-effective is your idea? - The Kabbalah method is not simple. The ideas behind it are, but not the method. Cost-effective - hard to calculate.
5. Longevity: How long will the idea's impact last? -
To Eternity and Beyond! (Buzz Light (c))
So, in general, the ideas Google is looking for are quite different from the dissemination of the Baal HaSulam's Kabbalah study technique. The idea behind the dissemination of Kabbalah is too broad and unquantifiable to make it through the 10^100-like contests.
Kabbalah is a new ideology than a technical solution to specific challenge that humanity is facing (i.e. production and storage of the renewable energy, state failures) and google’s of the world are trying to find a quick fix to.

Now, that financial crisis has erupted and has touched the most successful, hence the most self assured layers of the society, the idea of change from egoism to altruism has a much better chance to be supported by a wider population.

Altruism as a term though, could still be rejected, if not properly explained. Many still understand altruism simply as a redistribution of material goods, which sounds like a socialist idea in Russia or Kibbutzim in Israel. Both failed, as we know.

The real meaning of the word and the solution to global crisis are from a slightly different realm. I would entrust explaining and delivery of the system/methodology of working with your ego to Bnei Baruch as the organization, which has proved being thoughtful of the needs of people all around the world by developing such method in 35 languages (!)

We understand what the problem is and we understand that B'nei Baruj has the right answer because we see the changes in ourselves and the cure that have healed us and our families through our efforts in the study and the work in the group. This healing is a process of growth that will bring us to something bigger and better than we could have ever imagined: eternal adhesion with the source of life!

The question is how do we make the world understand this?
We ought to ask the psychologists within B'nei Baruj. How do you cause somebody to listen to you?

My undestanding of one model of human interaction put out by psychology is the following:

Thoughts cause feelings
Feelings cause actions
Actions cause reactions

It follows that what we need to do is stimulate thoughts. As a mother I have found that the best way for me to do that is by asking good questions. (telling your kids -or anybody else- that you kow the right answer does NOT work.)

So for the google project, I would call for the creation of a panel of scientists, psychologists and economists and i would give them the task of solving the following questions:

What is the root of the globlal crisis?
How did we get to this point?
Can we cure anything without knowing what is the cause, the root of the illness?

At that point I would ask the panel to bring forth their ideas for a solution, and I would ask Rav Laitman to present the perspective that Kabbalah has to offer.

If you want to be heared, you need to first cause your target audience to want to hear what you have to say.

The events making the news today create a fertile ground for presenting a method promoting the worldwide cooperation of humans. We have to emphasize our interconnections, and how dependent we are on each other.
