Our development is heading towards freeing the human being from the animal level where it is necessary to take care of the body, so that at the moment when we begin to recognize the evil of our egoism and its finality, we could become fully engaged in our re-education and similarity to the next degree of our —the level of “human,” in the implementation of the Biblical condition of “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” –Dr. Michael Laitman, in “The Third Industrial Revolution.”
How Balance in All Areas of Life Can be Achieved
Question: How can one describe balance on the human level, in relationships with the environment?
Answer by Dr. Michael Laitman: We don’t feel a division between us, we belong to a unified community, to one human body; we are connected into one system. And among us we want to arrange for balanced relationships of mutual cooperation.
Ultimately nothing separates us, we are a single whole. We depend upon one another and don’t even feel this dependence, for the answers to all of my requests come at that moment, immediately supplying me with what is missing, and I gladly give to others what they lack.
This is called balance in human society, this is a reciprocal interaction based upon two opposing forces that there are in everyone. One is for all and all are for one. We must reach this. Read More »

What Is Happiness?
Happiness is the sensation of fulfilling a person’s internal capabilities. It becomes completely clear when we discover exactly what we should fulfill, how we can fulfill it, what our goal is, how eternal and independent is that goal, and just how much it is the single purposeful aspect of the world now being realized.
In other words, happiness is the sensation of nearing the source of Nature, the Creator (the quality of bestowal and love), because that is the purpose of creation – a sensation of advancement toward a never-ending wholeness.
Where Are We Headed?
Nature’s plan is to bring all of nature to an integral state, which is the law of development that cannot be nullified. Nature must bring us to a state of becoming equal to it, to turn us into integral members in an integral society, each one by himself and all of us together. So you can’t just get rid of six billion people by putting them on drugs and food rations. Nature will lead them onward. It has to bring man to a state of being equal to it! A person has to become a human being.
This can only happen by balancing all the systems. The different parts of our world, like the still, vegetative, animate, and speaking nature, have to reach a state of balance, which means mutual support, homeostasis.
Bringing a person to the lowest state, however, is not homeostasis. The most important thing is to consciously raise ourselves to the level of a human being that is made of two opposite attributes: an egoistic one and an altruistic one, and operating in mutual cooperation by balancing them. What Is the Essence of a Game?
“Our whole life is a game because through games we develop.
Any growth in nature is carried out through play. Even the growth of cells is a game because they aspire to a future state that still doesn’t exist.
Spiritual development, too, is a game.
And as for children, the ‘childish’ games of every child determine the kind of person each of them will be.”
–Dr. Michael Laitman, in Children of Tomorrow
