Structure of Creation Course | Lesson 6 – General Overview – From Ein Sof to You and Back

The Series “General Overview” is a six lesson documentary given by Dr. Michael Laitman to his students on the topic of the Structure of Upper Worlds. The series clarifies the process of creation of the spiritual worlds, from the Initial Thought of Creation, through the creation of the soul of Adam HaRishon and its shattering, up to the development of Man in our world. It also includes the awakening of desire for spirituality in our times. The series is mostly based on the article “Preface to the Wisdom of Kabbalah,” by the Kabbalist, Rabbi Yehuda Ashlag.

Lesson 6 – General Overview – From Ein Sof to You and Back

Up to now, we have clarified the issue of the cascading of the Upper worlds from the Initial Thought of Creation to “do good unto His created beings.” In this section, we’ll review the entire process of the cascading and clarify the connection between the Spiritual World and the corporeal world.

Congratulations, Your Generation Possesses the Truth!

I am glad that I have been born in such a generation when it is permitted to disclose the wisdom of truth. Baal HaSulam.

Kabbalists throughout the centuries have concealed this science, waiting until humanity reached a state in its development where it began asking about the meaning of life. We see this now in the great problems of the world– alienation and powerlessness reign in the world. It’s precisely in this generation that the science of Kabbalah must be revealed because from it they will not only understand how to exit the current state, which has left them hopeless, but also to discover what awaits them in the future: an eternal, perfect, whole, exalted state, which is billions of time greater than anything we could ever feel in this world.

You Can Regain Health through Connection

One who is connected with others constantly becomes healthier by being connected to the system of mutual connection with others.

We must understand that the connection between us is the only thing that needs to be corrected. Every illness in a body arises only from the lack of the right connection. There is nothing to correct in a person himself, but he must install an anti-egoistic Screen and the Returning Light on his desire in order to properly connect with the other parts. The only reason for weakness and disorder is the lack of the proper connection between the parts of the whole, starting from the larger parts down to microscopic molecules.

Ki Tavo (When You Come) – Weekly Torah Portion

This Week’s Torah Portion | September 18 – September 24, 2016 – 15 Elul – 21 Elul, 5776

In A Nutshell

The portion, Ki Tavo (When You Come), begins with the last part of Moses’ speech before the people prior to his death. Upon the entrance to the land of Israel, Moses orders the people to write the words on big, whitewashed stones, and to build from them an altar for the Creator.

Moses describes the blessing that will come to Israel if they keep the Mitzvot (commandments), and the cursing that will come to them if they do not. He describes the state of the blessing and the curse on Mount Eival, and on Mount Gerizim—who will stand on each side, what are curses and what are blessings, and how they should be said.

The portion also deals with the Mitzvot of the first fruit, and the tithing laws. At the end of the portion Moses summarizes the events through which the people went, the Creator’s help on every step, and the people’s commitment to keep the Mitzvot.

Commentary by Dr. Michael Laitman

Our soul consists of 613 Mitzvot (commandments). Initially, they are all as the evil inclination, meaning aiming to benefit ourselves. In each of our desires appears—in the best case scenario—concern for ourselves. In the worst case scenario appears how we lie, steal, and use others for our own benefit.

Even if we do not use others, we still feel that the worse off they are, the better off we are. By nature, we are built to compare ourselves to others.

And yet, there is no one to complain to about it because the Creator admits, “I have created the evil inclination.” It is a process that began in Egypt, where we received the big evil inclination, the will to receive.

We discovered it at Mount Sinai, where we agreed to be “as one man with one heart,” to bond. Although we were by a mountain of hate, we united around the mountain and expressed willingness to unite. Although we were unable to actualize it, we were prepared to go for it. That was enough to receive the force of correction called “Torah,” whose light reforms.

Lesson 5 – The Created Being: Adam HaRishon

When the Wisdom of Kabbalah speaks of the created being, it isn’t referring to a person in our world. Rather, it speaks of a unique spiritual discernment, called “the Soul of Adam HaRishon.” In lesson 5, we’ll learn about the birth of “The Soul of Adam HaRishon” as well as its shattering, called “The sin of the Tree of Knowledge.”
