Our generation is very special. Today, children aren’t just cleverer and more sophisticated than their parents, they possess inner wisdom about life. They don’t want to experience what we have already experienced. They know it all in advance, and have already rejected it. Thus, our generation is the generation of crisis. It’s just the beginning. Very significant changes are waiting for us in the future.

CHICAGO TRIBUNE (October 12, 2007): In advance of Rav Laitman’s upcoming lecture at the Oakton Community College in Skokie, near Chicago, entitled “The Kabbalah Experience: The Relevance of Authentic Kabbalah in Our Lives,” journalist Deborah Horan wrote an article briefly tracing differing views on the disclosure of Kabbalah in our times.

If there is one thing that becomes obvious from Rav Laitman’s recent contact with U.S. journalists, there is a lot of confusion between the Kabbalah that Rav Laitman teaches and other claims to Kabbalah which first need to be differentiated. Terms which have stuck to the word “Kabbalah” over the years, like “Jewish mysticism,” “religion,” and “Judaism,” are picked up on and explained in a response to the Chicago Tribune article by a Bnei Baruch student.

SAN FRANCISCO (October 11, 2007): Rav Michael Laitman, PhD gave a public lecture at the Embarcadero Center, Le Meridian Hotel entitled “The Kabbalah Experience”—an introduction to the wisdom of Kabbalah.
Rav Laitman opened the lecture stating that the wisdom of Kabbalah has it written that the year 1995 would see the beginnings of the disclosure of the wisdom of Kabbalah to humanity. In order to explain this, Rav Laitman compared the state that humanity is in today to the state that humanity was in 5,000 years ago, and why this difference has come about.
Rav Laitman was asked to clarify what makes the Kabbalah he teaches authentic, as well as answering questions on how Kabbalah treats the ups and downs of everyday life, who or what is the Creator, how is peace found in one’s life, Kabbalah on the family, Kabbalah on the education of children, and whether there are age restrictions on the study of Kabbalah.
