I have sometimes felt terrified because I wanted so much to be one with another person. I thought it was the terror that caused the desire of wishing to be one, like going back into the safety of the womb. Now I see that it was the opposite ; it was the desire to be one that caused the terror. Wanting to be one with someone was a great threat to my sense of being an individual person.
